Martenet's Map of Cecil County

 

This reprint of Martenet's 1858 map of Cecil County was issued by the Cecil County Bicentennial Committee in commemoration of the County’s Bicentennial, in 1974. Reproduced in its original colors, this fine reproduction measures approximately 39" X 39." In addition to showing village and crossroads communities in Cecil, it shows the landowners for that period. This map provides a great source for studying county development just prior to the Civil War and also is excellent for framing.

To assist family researchers, Jane Wood prepared an index of families listed on the map and that index is also available from Society.
